The Science of Sanctuary
Our sense of smell is nothing short of extraordinary. We can all finish the thought, "There's nothing like the smell of..." Or, "That smell reminds me of..."
The reason for those strong connections between aromas and memories is because that's the way our brains are wired. Without getting too deep into the mechanics of it all, there's a direct link between our sense of smell and the long term memory-imprinting part of our brain. Fascinating? We think so too. So, we've put together a variety of experiences that lend themselves to creating lasting, positive memories. In a world filled with distraction and rush, we invite you to step into a place where you can slow down, take a deep breath in, and delight in discovering something familiar and, at the same time, new. A place you can call your Sanctuary.
Many folks have discovered essential oils, and we are very happy about that! Now, you may also know that not all essential oils are created equal. Like all products sold in a marketplace, there's a range of quality and purity.
In the scents we create together in the boutique and dispense at events, we exclusively use premium quality essential oils from a single, trusted supplier. All the oils we use are 100% pure, free from any additives, adulterants or dilutions. All of our supplier's products are rigorously tested and meet the highest standards possible. No pesticides, synthetic chemicals, herbicides, GMOs or harmful chemicals are ever used during any stage of the growing or distillation process.
In our products that contain alcohol such as the perfume rollers and the Eau de Toilette sprays, we only use 100% USDA Organic Sugar Cane Alcohol. Why? Because purity, simplicity and safety are what drive our choices. We want you to feel as good as we do about your whole experience. That includes the experience of using our products long after you create them with us.
